Teaching Model
Each lesson begins with a brief tutorial followed by a practice set. High quality corrective feedback is provided for incorrect answers. The practice set also provides instructional assistance when appropriate. At the completion of a practice set a performance report is given and the student then has the option of electing additional practice or returning to the main menu. All practice items are randomly selected (without replacement) from large item banks.
Diagnostic Test
The Math Efficiency System includes a Diagnostic Test that will automatically place the student at the appropriate skill level.
Instructional Uses
The Math Efficiency System can be used in the following ways:
- Review and practice of previously learned topics
- Supplementary instruction
- Instruction on topics missed due to absence
- Remediation for students who are behind
- Independent study
